Lathrop, San Joaquin County
Lathrop sits where Interstate 5 meets Highway 120 and Interstate 205, beside the San Joaquin River. Its population has more than doubled since 2010, much of the growth in River Islands, a community of lakes and levee-top trails built on a river tract west of the freeway. Warehouses and factories line the east side, including a large battery plant.
